Licenses

Makado reuses open-source work. Keep this section with any copy of the system.

  • Token structure and Spectrum-derived values (gray ramp roles, semantic colors, type scale, spacing, sizes, shadow structure) come from @adobe/spectrum-tokens 15.5.1, Copyright Adobe, licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0 (https://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0). Makado's brand colors, radii and shadow values are its own.
  • Icons in components/bundle.js are the Spectrum 2 workflow icons from @react-spectrum/s2 1.8.2, Copyright Adobe, licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. Their shapes are unchanged; only the fill was switched to currentColor. Seven icons, moon and the filled checkmark-circle-filled, alert-triangle-filled, calendar-day-filled, wallet-filled, thumb-up-filled and thumb-down-filled, are Makado's own, drawn on the same 20px grid and stroke weight because the Spectrum 2 set has no moon and no filled versions of those. apple is the Apple logo, used only on the Sign in with Apple button as Apple's Human Interface Guidelines require; Apple and the Apple logo are trademarks of Apple Inc.
  • Component styling follows @react-spectrum/s2 and @spectrum-css/* (Apache License, Version 2.0). Makado's code is its own; no Adobe source files are bundled.
  • Fonts: Outfit (Copyright 2021 The Outfit Project Authors), Figtree (Copyright 2022 The Figtree Project Authors) and Source Code Pro (Adobe), all under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, packaged by Fontsource (latin subsets).
  • Illustrations are original to Makado.
  • The Makado logo belongs to its owner and is not covered by any open-source license here.

The Apache License does not grant use of Adobe's trademarks. Makado does not use Adobe's names, logos or the restricted Adobe Clean typeface, and should not present itself as an Adobe product.

Inter

Source Sans 3

Source Sans 3 (formerly Source Sans Pro), by Paul D. Hunt for Adobe. Licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1 (https://openfontlicense.org). Files: fonts/SourceSans3-Variable.woff2, fonts/SourceSans3-Variable-Italic.woff2 (Latin subset, from @fontsource-variable/source-sans-3 5.3.1). Retired.

DM Sans

DM Sans, by The DM Sans Project Authors (https://github.com/googlefonts/dm-fonts). Licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1 (https://openfontlicense.org). Files: fonts/DMSans-Variable.woff2, fonts/DMSans-Variable-Italic.woff2 (Latin subset with optical size and weight axes, from @fontsource-variable/dm-sans 5.3.0). Retired.

Satoshi

Satoshi, designed by Deni Anggara for Indian Type Foundry, distributed by Fontshare (https://www.fontshare.com/fonts/satoshi). Free for personal and commercial use under the ITF Free Font License (https://www.fontshare.com/licenses/itf-ffl). Files: fonts/Satoshi-Variable.woff2, fonts/Satoshi-Variable-Italic.woff2 (variable weight 300 to 900, from the Fontshare web font CDN). Retired.

Geist

Geist Sans, by The Geist Project Authors (https://github.com/vercel/geist-font). Licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1 (https://openfontlicense.org). Files: fonts/Geist-Variable.woff2, fonts/Geist-Variable-Italic.woff2 (Latin subset, weight 100 to 900, from @fontsource-variable/geist 5.3.0). Retired.

Space Grotesk

Space Grotesk, by The Space Grotesk Project Authors (https://github.com/floriankarsten/space-grotesk). Licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1 (https://openfontlicense.org). File: fonts/SpaceGrotesk-Variable.woff2 (Latin subset, weight 300 to 700, from @fontsource-variable/space-grotesk 5.3.0; the family has no italic). Retired.

Figtree

Figtree, by Erik Kennedy and The Figtree Project Authors (https://github.com/erikdkennedy/figtree). Licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1 (https://openfontlicense.org). Files: fonts/Figtree-Variable.woff2, fonts/Figtree-Variable-Italic.woff2 (weight 300 to 900). Static fonts/static/Figtree-Bold.ttf and fonts/static/Figtree-Medium.ttf (Fontsource latin subset) are only for images rendered on the server, such as the share image, since that renderer can't read woff2. This is the interface typeface again (October 19, 2026).
